Bonuses, audited.

Forty-seven promotional offers across the eleven sportsbooks Bangladesh actually uses. We read every line of every T&C — including the ones written below the fold. Here's what each promotion type really is, and what to watch for before you opt in.

/ 01 · The cover story

The bonus that isn't a bonus.

Every sportsbook on the Bangladeshi market sells the same product: the upside on a deposit. 100% match. 200% match. ৳20,000 bonus. The number is real. The conditions under which the number becomes withdrawable cash are not advertised at the same volume.

For four weeks, our team opted into 47 promotional offers across 11 books. We deposited the qualifying amount. We attempted to clear each rollover honestly — at the qualifying odds, within the time window, under the max-bet cap. We logged what cleared, what voided, and where the small print won.

The most generous-looking bonus in our cycle had the lowest realised value of any offer we tested. Cycle 04 · audit floor

Eight in ten offers carried at least one trap clause we didn't see in the headline marketing. Six in ten carried two. The patterns are consistent enough that we've named them, listed them, and grouped them by which audience they catch out hardest.

This issue isn't an argument against promotions. Some are genuinely useful — cashback paid in cash leads the field, and a small handful of welcome offers do clear honestly if you stake the way the book expects. The rest deserve to be read with the small print held up to the light.

/ 02 · The index

Twelve promotion types, read line by line.

Every promotion category we encountered in cycle 04. For each: what the headline says, what the offer actually delivers, and the specific clause that decides whether your money makes it back out.

New account · matched deposit

Welcome Bonus

A percentage match on your first deposit, capped at a number printed in 72-point type and qualified in 8-point type. The headline is the cap, not the rate.

Watch for

Wagering requirements (5×–15× is typical), minimum-odds floor (1.50+ usually), max bet during rollover, and the time window to clear it. Miss any one and the bonus voids.

Sign-up · % match

First-Deposit Match

100% / 200% match deposits dominate the welcome category. The 200% offers almost always carry harder rollovers — the math evens out.

Watch for

Whether the rollover applies to deposit + bonus, or bonus only. The difference is doubled effort. Always read which.

Returning · weekly

Reload Bonus

A smaller match (10%–50%) on subsequent deposits, often weekly. Lower headline, but cleaner T&Cs — usually the most genuinely usable bonus on a book.

Watch for

Whether it's automatic or opt-in (silent reloads expire), and whether the rollover stacks if you have an unfinished welcome.

Stake-not-returned

Free Bet

You bet ৳500, you win, you receive the winnings minus your stake. The free part is the stake — the upside is the net profit only.

Watch for

Single-bet only (no acca splits), expiry is usually 7 days, and the stake's market eligibility is fenced — favourites under 1.50 typically excluded.

Refund as bonus

Risk-Free First Bet

Lose your first bet, get the stake back. The catch: it's almost always returned as a bonus, not as cash. So the refund itself carries rollover.

Watch for

Whether the refund is cash or bonus credit. Cash is rare; bonus is standard. If T&Cs don't say, assume bonus.

Loss rebate

Cashback

Weekly or monthly rebate on net losses, typically 5%–15%. Calculated on Net Gaming Revenue (NGR) — your losses minus your wins for the period.

Watch for

Which markets count toward NGR (live often excluded), the cap on the rebate amount, and whether it's paid as cash or bonus credit.

Multi · enhanced odds

Accumulator Boost

Add a percentage to your acca payout based on the number of legs (e.g. +5% for 4 legs, scaling to +50% for 12). Reads as “free money” but the boost only triggers on the win.

Watch for

Minimum odds per leg, minimum number of legs, and whether one void leg kills the boost or just the leg. Almost always: kills the boost.

Multi · refund on near-miss

Acca Insurance

If exactly one leg of your acca loses, the stake is refunded. Sounds generous; activates rarely. Most accas lose more than one leg.

Watch for

How many legs minimum (usually 5+), refund cap, and whether it's cash or bonus. Books prefer bonus.

Single · enhanced price

Odds Boost

A specific market priced higher than the standard line. Genuine value when book pricing margins are wide; less impressive on tight markets.

Watch for

Stake cap (often ৳500–৳2,000), single-bet eligibility, and whether the boost is opt-in via a token (limited per day) or universal.

Tiered · long-term

Loyalty / VIP Program

Earn-as-you-stake schemes that hand out cashback, free bets and bespoke odds boosts as you climb tiers. The economics favour the book until you reach the top tier; very few players ever get there.

Watch for

What stake counts as one point, tier decay (do you fall back if you miss a month?), and whether benefits are cash or bonus credit.

Referral · per-signup

Refer a Friend

Both you and your referred friend get a small free bet or bonus once they deposit and stake a qualifying amount. The qualifying amount is rarely small.

Watch for

Whether your friend's qualifying stake must clear before either party gets paid, and the cap on referrals per quarter.

IPL · BPL · UCL · World Cup

Tournament / Event Bonus

Headline-grabbing seasonal offers around big tournaments. Highest engagement period for books, so the marketing budget is concentrated here — and the small-print is usually tightest.

Watch for

Whether the offer applies to the tournament's live markets only, the qualifying matches, and stake caps that often shrink for marquee fixtures.

18+ · Read the T&Cs · Bonuses subject to wagering
/ 03 · The wagering audit

How rollover actually works.

The six rules that decide whether a bonus clears or voids. Read them in order — every clause builds on the one before it.

/ 01

The number you see is the cap, not the rate

“Up to ৳20,000” means your maximum match. If your deposit is small, your bonus is small. The headline is the ceiling — the floor is whatever you actually deposit.

/ 02

The rollover applies to a base, and the base matters

“5× rollover on bonus” means you stake the bonus value 5 times. “5× on deposit + bonus” means you stake the combined value 5 times — almost double the work. Always check which.

/ 03

Minimum odds shape every qualifying bet

Most welcome offers require bets at 1.50+ to count toward rollover. Bet 1.40 to clear the wager and the wager doesn't move. Books know your behaviour at safe odds; the floor exists to prevent it.

/ 04

The time window is shorter than you think

7-day expiry on the welcome bonus is the norm; 30-day is generous. The math: clearing 10× rollover on a ৳5,000 bonus in 7 days is ৳7,000 of stake per day. For most readers, this fails.

/ 05

Max bet during rollover is the silent killer

While a bonus is active, every individual stake is capped — usually ৳200–৳500. Try a bigger bet and the bonus voids. This is the clause that catches the most readers. It's never in the headline.

/ 06

Game weighting changes the rules under your feet

Sportsbook bets typically count 100% toward rollover; casino games 0%–25%; live-dealer often 0%. If the bonus T&Cs say “contributes to wagering,” assume only sportsbook does.

/ 04 · Trap clauses

Eight patterns the desk flags repeatedly.

The clauses that voided the most bonuses in our cycle. Each appears in at least three of the eleven books reviewed. Look for the words on this page in any T&C before opting in.

Refund-as-bonus

"Risk-free" bets that refund losses as bonus credit (carrying rollover) instead of withdrawable cash.

Min-odds floor

Bonus only counts on bets at 1.50 or 2.00+, voiding low-risk staking strategies.

Max-bet cap

Stakes during rollover capped at a low number (often ৳200–৳500) — try a bigger bet and the bonus voids on the spot.

Single-bet only

Free bets that can't be split across multiple selections or used in accas.

Game weighting

Casino and live-dealer games contributing 0%–25% to rollover; sportsbook required to clear it.

Time decay

7-day windows that double the daily stake required vs. a more typical 30-day window.

Bonus-first stake

When a real-money balance and bonus balance coexist, the bonus is staked first — meaning a winning bet doesn't free up your real money.

Geographic riders

"Eligible markets only" clauses that quietly exclude Bangladesh from headline international promotions.

/ 05 · Reader Q&A

Eight things readers ask first.

What rollover is, what a free bet really gives you, why bonuses void, and whether the welcome offer is worth taking. The shortest answers we can give without losing the truth.

Q01 Are the headline percentages real?
The percentage is real; the cap is the limit. A 200% match up to ৳20,000 means a ৳10,000 deposit gets you ৳20,000 of bonus credit — but only if you can clear the rollover within the time window. Books design these knowing most readers cannot.
Q02 What is wagering / rollover, in plain English?
The number of times you have to stake the bonus before it converts to withdrawable cash. 5× rollover on a ৳5,000 bonus = ৳25,000 of qualifying stake. The qualifying part is where the small-print lives.
Q03 Is a free bet actually free?
The stake is free; the winnings are not. If you bet ৳500 and win at 2.00, you receive ৳500 (the profit), not ৳1,000. The book never returns the free stake itself — it's a tool to expose new bettors to the product.
Q04 Why does my bonus keep voiding?
Most commonly, a bet over the max-bet cap during rollover. The cap is rarely shown in the bonus headline; it lives in the T&Cs. Other voiders: betting below the minimum-odds floor, withdrawing real-money balance while a bonus is active, or letting the time window expire.
Q05 Should I take the welcome bonus?
It depends on whether you can realistically clear the rollover at the qualifying odds within the time window without exceeding the max-bet cap. For most casual readers, the answer is no — the offer is shaped for high-frequency bettors. We score this per book in the cycle release.
Q06 Is cashback the cleanest promotion?
Usually, yes — if it pays as cash, not bonus credit, and the eligibility window is calculated on NGR (net loss). Cash-paying weekly cashback at 5%–10% is the only promotion category that consistently passes our audit without a trap clause.
Q07 What's the catch with VIP / loyalty programs?
Tier decay. You earn your way up by staking; you fall back if you stop. The benefits at the top tiers are real, but the volume required to maintain them shifts the long-term math even further toward the book. Only worth it if you'd be staking that volume anyway.
Q08 Why don't you publish real book names with each promotion?
Same protocol as the live-betting cycle: real names go in the quarterly cycle release alongside the raw audit log. Codenames during a cycle protect ongoing tests from being rigged. We publish, then they react — not the other way round.
